Mark Zuckerberg says, Technology doesn’t create Jobs, but it does increase pay

Facebook’s founder, Mark Zuckerberg recently after his visit to Oklahoma as part of 2017 tour of the U.S. states, says that the number of jobs stays about the same in the wake of new technologies. However, in order to operate the increasingly advanced technology, people need more training and therefore get more pay.

Zuckerberg, one of the world’s five wealthiest people has turned his attention to the impact of technology on the workers. Zuckerberg made the comments in a post after visiting an Oklahoma wind farm, which he says will be the last visit of his 2017 tour of the U.S.

According to Mark, the impact of technology varies in different fields, as he claims,

“A lot of people focus on whether technology creates or destroys jobs. I’ve seen both this year –improving tech has created more jobs in some industries and in others, it has eliminated jobs. But perhaps the more common dynamic I’ve seen is that the number of jobs stays about the same, but in order to operate the increasingly advanced technology, people need more training and therefore get more pay.”

Zuckerberg also mentioned about the renewable energy industry in Oklahoma state, which is usually associated with oil and gas production.

Facebook is also one of the tech companies that have signed contracts to meet all their power needs from renewable energy sources. As per increased impact of Global Warming, the initiative will be helpful to control greenhouse effect worldwide. Facebook is also working on a project with Stephen Hawking, a scientist who urges to send spacecraft to explore life on other star systems.
