The 2-day Makers Fest is finally happening in Pakistan

The news that Makers Fest is coming to Pakistan first broke about two years ago. After several glitches and postponements, the event is finally taking place at Faletti’s Hotel in Lahore from 27th – 28th July.

Makers Fest is a sub-continental play on the globally recognized Makers Faire. The event was first introduced in 2006 and has since been hosted across America, Europe, Africa and Japan. Makers Faire is internationally recognized as a family-friendly festival of invention, creativity and resourcefulness. The main aim of this event is to gather inventors, entrepreneurs, designers, artists, artisans and all kind of creators so they can show their true capability.

Makers Fest Pakistan is being headed by Sehyr Mirza, an Emerging Leaders of Pakistan alumnus who has worked as a journalist with leading news media outlets, and Ammar Aziz, an award-winning documentary filmmaker who is known for highlighting the working class of Pakistan. The Makers Fest took two years to finally happen in Pakistan but now that it is happening expectations are very high. The event will be a gathering of the countries best innovators, entrepreneurs, makers, artists, tech geeks, and industry mentors.

Here is a look at the event schedule for Day 1 and Day 2:
