Maker Fest Pakistan, the Pakistan’s version of the highly acclaimed global event “Maker Faire” is bound to happen shortly. While the organizers of the said event have already selected a score of innovators, they are keen to extend the opportunity to the ones who haven’t applied so far. So if you are one proud inventor looking to showcase the masterpiece you have developed, this could be the most right time to do so.
Ever since the news about the event broke out, innovators from across Pakistan started to look forward to it for it is the first of its kind event in Pakistan. The event which is basically going to be a two-day celebration of creative product makers. Maker Fest Pakistan will be conducted in Lahore and different inventors, techies, entrepreneurs, artists and designers will come together at one national event to show-off the product they have developed. The event will include an exhibition followed by many hands-on workshops, talk sessions and different performances etc.
In order to apply for a place at the event, the exhibitors can send the brief details with photographs of the product developed to Maker Fest Pakistan through Facebook. The products can belong to the domains of technology or arts, including but not limited to Robotics, E-vehicles, Engineering products, App making, Gaming, Interactive Art and animation, Digital Art, Music and Music instruments, Film, Recycling and Green/Cleantech, furniture design, Crafts, textiles and puppets designs etc. The makers, upon selection, are also being offered travel and accommodation facilities in Lahore.
Originally introduced by the Maker Media, Maker Faire is a global event that has already been hosted in America, Europe, Africa and Japan to as much as becoming the “Greatest Show (and Tell) on Earth”.
