As the CES 2018 is just around the corner most of the electronics brands are expediting the process to showcase their innovative products in the world’s biggest tech show. The famed South Korean electronics manufacturer, LG has announced that it will launch its innovative Nano IPS-based monitors in the Las Vegas event.
LG’s new Nano IPS technology based monitors are the first to be featured with a 32-inch 4K UHD display, a 98-percent DCI-P3 color gamut, and HDR 600 support. The monitor will be featured in the model 32UK950. Meanwhile, the HDR 600 support means a peak brightness of 600 nits, local dimming, and 10-bit processing. Generally, the processing doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a 10-bit panel, but this one probably is a 10-bit panel. The monitor is said to have a Thunderbolt 3 for making connections between two monitors.
Furthermore, LG also plans to launch the 34WK95U model, another HDR 600 monitor, with a flat 34-inch 5K (5,120×2,160). The monitor will also feature a Nano IPS display with a 21:9 aspect ratio. However, you can’t daisy-chain it and can plug it into a Thunderbolt 3 port in theory. The device is used without a separate power supply.
Most probably, we’ll also see a G-Sync Nano IPS gaming monitor at CES too, and that piece is expected with a 34-inch 34GK950G model. However, further specifications and prices of the three devices will only be revealed after the event.
LG will not be at CES 2018 for showcasing its monitors and LEDs only, but the South Korean tech giant is also said to be unveiling its K series phone in the event. LG’s K10 is most likely to be showcased at CES 2018 and it may feature 5.3-inch HD display and a fingerprint scanner on the back.
