LG didn’t release its flagship smartphone in the first quarter saying that it will be launched “when the time will be right.” And since then we all are waiting for that right time. And now LG is not so sure about the “hate the notch” bandwagon. LG is asking in Reddit for feedback.
The company asked,
“We’ve seen a LOT of comments around “The Notch” over the past few weeks, from people who love the quick access to the menu to those that hate the wasted screen space. We would love to gather some more feedback to share with our R&D team- and this is where you come in. So…what do you think? Love the Notch? Or is it Notch not your thing?”
The answers they got on the form were mostly negative with people saying they “hate the notch” or “useless notch”, regarding the question of the notch. Last year, LG rivaled Samsung and released its LG G6 close to the launch of Galaxy S8. The rumors surfing the internet about the upcoming G-series smartphone hints towards full view 18:9 4K OLED display with a notch of course.
The smartphone is coming with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 845 chipset. The phone is said to feature a dual camera setup on the back. The LG G7 variants also rumored to have an iris scanner like the Samsung Galaxy S9, and IP68 rating, HDR10 and a battery capacity of 3,000 mAh.There’s no official word on the LG G7 until now as LG is still looking into whether to accept the notch or say no to it.
