The Cupertino giant Apple is quite reluctant in detailing specs and feature of its upcoming devices prior to launch especially when it comes to the exact launch date. But the launch date of upcoming iPhone 11 series has just got mistakenly leaked and it is expected to be launched on September 20.
SoftBank Mobile President Ken Miyauchi while presenting the company’s quarterly earnings report accidentally spilled out the release date of the Apple iPhone 11. Aside from discussing the mobile user numbers growth that has led to an increase in profit by four percent, Miyauchi inadvertently noted that the upcoming flagship phone is set to go on sale ten days before the end of September.
Miyauchi leaked the information when he was asked by a journalist about a new telecommunications law going into effect October 1 which would see carriers in Japan splitting data cost from device prices in customer contracts. If the release date is true, the September 20 drop would fall in line with the time frames we saw with the release of the iPhone XS and XS Max.
As suggested by the previous rumors and leaks, it appears that the upcoming iPhones are going to look a lot like their predecessors in terms of screen design and aesthetics, with visible notches for facial recognition and minimalistic bezels. The one thing that does seem different, and therefore exciting, is that camera module design on the back. The camera bump appears to be larger than before, and that is not surprising because there are extra lenses to accommodate after all.
As far as the other information about the smartphone is concerned, iPhone 11 is expected to come with a square-shaped camera design on the back. Moreover, Apple is seemingly considering to move the iPhone line to USB Type-C port with these smartphones. iPhone 11 may also have huge storages with the base option of 128 GBs.
Although the leaked info about the launch date isn’t confirmed, the Japanese company’s leader did try to cover up his slip up by saying “no one knows when the iPhone will launch” adding to the validity of his comment.
