Lahoris can now register complaints regarding waste management using this app

Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) — the company with the ambition of cleaning Lahore like never before, has recently launched an Android application ‘Clean Lahore’ to help people file their complaints regarding waste management issues in different towns of the district.

The app has been developed with the collaboration Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). The basic purpose of developing this app is to provide convenience to citizens of filing their complaints in a simple, instant and efficient way.

Clean Lahore app is up and running on Play Store and has already been installed over 500 times since its launch on Monday. You will have to register yourself in the app by entering your name, contact number, and CNIC to log any complaint.

The app looks quite helpful and has a handful of features. A user can submit complain by uploading live pictures of evidence (landfill etc.), live GPS location, and description of the complaint. Additionally, the app has various categories like ‘Open plot filled with waste’ and ‘Sweeper absent’ to better understand the issue faced by the user.

The app description on the Google Play Store reads as follows; “The complaints are assigned to the designated staff of LWMC and a complete redressal mechanism and assignment matrix is attached with each complaint. Let’s work together to keep Lahore clean.”

Punjab Minister for Law and Local Government, Raja Basharat appreciated the step taken by LWMC and PITB for developing this app that will help to resolve citizens complaints regarding waste management. LWMC has been using information technology in its regular operations to acquire efficiency, transparency and effective control.

The app has a size of only 3.2 MB and here’s the link to install the app on your Android phone.
