Lahore Transportation debuts “Bus Da Pata” application

Transportation applications can be time savers for people commuting on a daily basis. Lahore transportation company (LTC) launched a smartphone application named “Bus Da Pata” which is expected to debut publicly on the 16th of June 2015. It will be offering the following services:

  • Next bus arrival time
  • Route information
  • Fare information
  • Trip planner
  • Live bus locator

A wave of applications has been launched in the past few years ranging from smartphone apps to book taxis to real time data available for public transportation. These initiatives will be largely beneficial to the public, ease their woes while traveling via a public transport. Bus Da Pata app will aid the commuters in planning their journey, save immense time and improve efficiency.

Travly another application for helping commuters with public transport was launched last year in May. It helps locate the nearest bus stops from your current location and tells you which buses to board from point A to point B. As of last year, Travly had integrated 36 cities into their application.

The application is available on the Google Play store but while testing it on a Xperia Z1, ‘Your device isn’t compatible with this version message’ got displayed.

The app indeed works very well right now, despite using the app on a 2G connection, it worked smooth, fast and loaded the Google Map really fast. Along with the Map route detailing the bus stop locations, it mentioned the bus route, fare and time of arrival. Additionally, the app also mentions other buses and their route along with a fare table for all the buses in the use of LTC.
