Lahore Traffic Police Granted Power to Handcuff Offenders for Violations

LAHORE: The Lahore City Traffic Police have been authorized to handcuff individuals who violate parking and traffic regulations before proceeding with legal charges.

Officials have ordered all circle officers and sector in-charges to always have handcuffs on hand.

People who break the law will be handcuffed right there and given to the local cops to handle further.

The Chief Traffic Officer has issued a directive stressing the need for more stringent enforcement actions to reduce cases of unlawful parking and encroachments within the city.

As per the orders, traffic wardens have begun to independently arrange handcuffs.
