The Punjab government is advancing plans to generate artificial rain in Lahore to further enhance air quality. This initiative comes despite a notable reduction in haze over the provincial capital on Sunday, as reported by 24NewsHD TV.
Raja Jahangir Anwar, Secretary of the Environment Protection Department, has advised residents to stay indoors to reduce exposure to bad air quality and protect themselves from infection.
He emphasized that many automobiles that release smoke have been seized, and companies and brick kilns that cause pollution have been closed.
“No leniency will be given to those violating the established SOPs, regardless of their status,” he stated. “Anyone found contributing to pollution will face legal consequences.”
