KP Govt Launches Mobile App to Survey Flood-hit damaged homes

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has developed a mobile application for the purpose of conducting a survey of damaged dwellings in flood-stricken areas in order to guarantee that those who were impacted by the flood would get fair and transparent relief compensation.

On Tuesday, a high-level conference was conducted in this location to discuss this matter. Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahzad Bangash presided over the gathering.

Additional Chief Secretary, relevant Administrative Secretaries, Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, representatives of the Pakistan Army and NDMA, and other essential authorities were present at the meeting. During the meeting, attendees were informed that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IT Board has developed a mobile app for the purpose of conducting a survey of impacted households, for which master training is now being provided to the relevant officials.

On top of that, it was shared with everyone that the inspection of homes that had been flooded will begin on September 15. Following the survey’s conclusion, remuneration will be distributed using the Bank of Khyber as the intermediary. According to the early damage assessment report compiled by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority, a total of 91,456 homes in the districts that were affected by the flooding were damaged. There have been as many as 37,523 homes that have suffered full destruction, while another 53933 have suffered partial destruction.

Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, will go to Uzbekistan to participate in the SCO summit.

At the meeting, it is revealed that the compensation for a house that was completely destroyed by the floods would be Rs 400,000, while the compensation for partial damage would be Rs 160,000.

The Chief Secretary gave the directive to the deputy commissioners to examine the current state of the survey daily and finish it within the allotted amount of time. He emphasized publicly speeding up the payment process for compensation.
