KP Govt Initiates E-stamp Paper System to Eliminate Stamp Fraud

With a new technology project, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government is one step closer to eliminating counterfeit stamp papers and related fraud. The state has established an E-stamp paper system, which will also aid in the avoidance of dated stamp papers.

The project was led by KP Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan, who stated that it would assist fix a range of difficulties with stamp papers. He stated that it would aid in resolving property disputes and that individuals would be able to check them online to prevent fraud and counterfeiting.

You simply need a functioning internet connection to utilize these E-stamp sheets. If you want to buy high-value non-judicial or judicial stamp papers, you merely need to supply information about why you want them. You must also supply your name, the seller’s name, the name of the person from whom the stamp papers will be purchased, and their CNIC numbers.

The new system will automatically compute the value of the stamp paper you require. Before you acquire your E-stamp paper, the procedure only takes around 15 minutes.

Sindh E-stamp
Sindh implemented a similar E-stamp system in May of this year. It was launched due to a partnership between the PITB, the Sindh Board of Revenue, and the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP).

The ceremony was held at the Sindh CM House and was presided over by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. Revenue Minister Makhdoom Mehboob, the Chief Secretary, a senior member of the Revenue Board, the President of the National Bank, and others were present.

CM Murad Ali Shah also used the occasion to announce a reduction in stamp duty from 2% to 1%. Sindh’s E-stamp system operates similarly to that of KP.
