Korean Ambassador to Pakistan, Dr Song Jong-hwan has announced establishment of Pak-Korea high technology Agricultural Innovation Center/Technological Park at University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. The estimated cost of establishment of such a center is 29.11 million dollars.
The technology park will replicate the agricultural development model of Korea. While speaking at the occasion, the Korean Ambassador said that Pakistan could emerge as the most agriculturally rich country in Asia, due to its fertile land, largest irrigation system and 200 million population.
Whereas, University of Faisalabad’s Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan emphasized on learning from Korea. He said that, “Having the largest population of youth. If we train them well and provide them with quality of education, we can overcome many challenges this county is facing today.”
