KITE Oslo startup challenge to accelerate Pakistani ventures in Norway

Karachi Institute of Technology Entrepreneurship (KITE) has partnered with The City of Oslo, Telenor Norway, and Startup Lab for a unique startup challenge for Pakistani entrepreneurs. Through this competition, startups in Pakistan will get a chance to meet and learn from some of the sharpest people from the entrepreneurship community of Pakistan and Norway. In addition to that, the winners will be accelerated at Telenor HQ in Oslo for a month with all expenses covered.

The top three team of this challenge will also be fast tracked for the pitching round of Telenor Group’s accelerator for Pakistan, Telenor Velocity. If the challenge has tickled your interested, here are the important things to keep in mind,

  1. 5th September is the deadline for applications.
  2. The pitching competition will take place between 9th to 10th September at Karachi.
  3. The 3 winning teams will be sent to Oslo at Telenor HQ for a month of incubation.
  4. These 3 winning teams will also join Telenor’s event at Oslo Innovation Week on 19th October.

Pakistan has seen a surge in technology entrepreneurship in the last couple of years. With the up rise of entrepreneurship programs, young people are changing their mindset from job searching to job creation. Telenor Pakistan is also encouraging this thought process through different innovative competitions and programs under their digital umbrella.
