Khan Academy is looking to gain momentum and seems to be one of the key players in the industry with a catalog of thousands of educational videos available to everyone free of charge. Unlike Coursera and some other services which have a for-profit model, Khan Academy has been championing free availability of educational content.
The redesign of the iPhone app has new features like an offline learning mode and can now sync your iPhone with your computer to keep your academic progress up to date on all devices. These upgrades, however, are not present in the new Android application.
