Khan Academy, the famous non-profit online education platform has announced the release of its dedicated Android application. It also announced the release of a redesigned version of its existing iPhone app.
Online education platforms where people can learn anything from the comfort of their home are getting a huge interest of netizens. Khan Academy is looking to gain momentum and seems to be one of the key players in the industry with a catalog of thousands of educational videos available to everyone free of charge. Unlike Coursera and some other services which have a for-profit model, Khan Academy has been championing free availability of educational content.
The redesign of the iPhone app has new features like an offline learning mode and can now sync your iPhone with your computer to keep your academic progress up to date on all devices. These upgrades, however, are not present in the new Android application.
