Kaymu.pk, a leading online marketplace, celebrated its second year of operations in Pakistan with an all employee event held at Lahore and Karachi offices. They arranged a live video conference in order to include employees from both offices.
The online marketplace has grown exponentially in its second year in Pakistan. The number of daily orders grew more than three times as compared to the same time last year. This was all possible due to company’s hard work in the past year for bringing more sellers to its online platform, enhancing buyer shopping experience and providing best possible rates for every product on its platform. These efforts led to an increased number of sellers which was more than five times in the one year period.
The Country Manager for Kaymu.pk, Mr. Adam Dawood talked about the speed of its success stating that it has broken down a lot of barriers to trade. He added,
“Through our platform, small businesses and manufacturers have been able to connect directly to their customers. Kaymu is providing a complete end to end solution to its sellers, especially those who have no experience of e-commerce. It has never been easier for any budding entrepreneur to set up a business online. We have an amazing team in place working tirelessly and I am confident we will continue to grow in the coming years.”
Kaymu.pk launched a new office in Karachi in its second year which was a major development in terms of expansion in a city called the hub of Pakistan’s business sector. Though an online venture, Kaymu.pk has managed to develop full-scale offices in two major cities of Pakistan boasting hundreds of employees in each office.
Mr. Dawood believes that Pakistan has a huge market for e-commerce and it is phenomenal how this country has adopted technology at such a fast pace acquiring 9 million 3G users in just 6 months.
Kaymu.pk aims to continue playing a positive role in the development of e-commerce in Pakistan. Its ambition is to enable businesses to reach wider audiences, simpler and faster.
