Karachi Institute Of Technology and Entrepreneurship(KITE) Signs a New Partnership

KITE, a not so old institution established at Korangi Creek, Karachi, aims to provide best entrepreneurial experience and technology education and “to create a critical mass of well-rounded citizens with a “can-do” attitude who thrive in multidimensional local and global societies”.

It is very well furnished and constitutes all of state-of-the-art facilities and is keen on creating a comfortable and learning environment for its students. It is focused on being tech-centric, and so it has an E-Library with various course books and reference books available online. Entrepreneurship and technology being the portals of development of any nation, this institute brings the best of both of them.With highly qualified faculty that has international teaching and working experience, KITE offers, at this time, two undergraduate degree programs .

School of Business offers Bachelors’ in Business Administration (BBA-Entrepreneurship). It “incorporates the rigor of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), with the critical thinking skills associated with social sciences, and rounds it off with an applied education about the fundamentals of business”.

School of Computing offers Bachelors’ in Computer Science (BCS). It “incorporates the logical and computational education at the core of any good computer science program, with a well-rounded curriculum of social sciences, while also focusing on developing students’ entrepreneurial skills”.

It is affiliated with University of Karachi and sponsored by EduEnrich. And more recently got itself affiliated with University of Texas(IC2 Institute) on June 23, 2014. An MoU was signed between Dr Robert A. Peterson, Director of the IC2 Institute at the University of Texas at Austin and Afaque Riaz Ahmed, Founding Chairperson of the Karachi Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship (KITE). IC2 institute is a reasonably old institution and is the master of technology entrepreneurship. This will come as a great opportunity for KITE’s students to get international exposure by attending joint-degree programs, exchange programs and have access to their well-developed network.

This will end up in students having an upper hand in entrepreneurial abilities, employability skills, international internships and job placements.Ultimately, all focus is on developing young mindsets to match the standards of today’s technology and business market.
