Careem and Jazz have decided to collaborate to launch a new SIM card delivery which will deliver Jazz SIMS to customer’s doorstep.
Jazz, one of Pakistan’s leading cellular companies (in terms of its customers and reach) is partnering with the popular ride-hailing company, Careem to introduce a new SIM delivery service in a bid to diversify and expand its reach in the country. The service will directly deliver Jazz SIM cards to new users and will initiate from Islamabad.
The news regarding the collaboration was announced via Jazz’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Asif Aziz on Twitter. The tweet said, “Moving to new channels and distribution. Agreement with Careem to deliver @jazzpk SIM cards. Trials to commence in Islamabad.”
This new venture between the two giants holds major development for the cellular company. As companies like Daraz and other online product-selling platforms experience better sales every year, a highlighting factor in their success is the swift and easy method of purchasing these products, which is the delivery system which is hassle-free and delivers the product to customer without having the customer having to worry about the soul-crushing traffic which badly effects the time schedule.
Jazz in a similar manner is now delivering its sims to the customer at their doorstep, which can prove to be the deciding factor between Jazz and its competitors. Since it removes the troublesome traditional method of having to go to the shop of buying a new SIM card. If things go well for Pakistan’s largest cellular network, then it’s highly likely that other telecom companies will also imitate this new SIM delivery method.
Careem is also looking to diversify its services in the country, Careem is now gradually adding the delivery-service in its portfolio as well. Services such as “Careem loader” is another example of how the uber-popular ride-hailing service sees potential in this market segment as well. Furthermore, some rumors are claiming that Careem is planning to introduce e-wallet services.
The service acquires the wallet license for not only managing credits but also for helping the customers with their utility bills and other payments. If this materializes into actual service, then Careem can expect an overwhelmingly positive response from the people.
