Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication instructed the administration of the Telecom Foundation (TF) to open TF schools in rural areas of the country.
The Managing Director of Telecom Foundation Zomma Mohiuddin briefed the Minister on his visit to Telecom Foundation Complex. Federal Minister was accompanied by Federal Secretary for Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui.
In the briefing Mr, Zomma informed IT Minister, that the foundation is already running TF schools in twelve cities of the country where quality education is being taught to children. He also informed him about the other ongoing projects of the Telecom Foundation.
Managing Director TF told the Federal Minister about their future plans for Telecom Foundation. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui appreciated the TF school system and encouraged them to establish more schools especially in the rural areas of the country. Later in his tweet, he guaranteed the full support of his ministry for the foundation.
IT Minister Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has always considered IT education an important part of the country’s growth. In Huawei Mobile Summit 2019 he said the information, communication, and technology (ICT) sector of Pakistan is growing and it has the potential to further expand in the near future.
