ISO 45001 certification awarded to Telenor Pakistan for workplace safety

Telenor Pakistan is no stranger to awards and accolades. The company has always been at the forefront of safety, and efficiency. Now, it has become the first telecommunications company in Pakistan to achieve the ISO 45001 certification. The ISO 45001 is a certification awarded to organizations that provide a safe, secure and healthy working environment. This can be achieved by limiting the number of accidents, illnesses and work-related injuries at a workplace.

While talking to the media, Telenor Pakistan’s Chief Corporate Officer said, “This feat is a testament to Telenor Pakistan’s efforts towards ensuring a safe and sustainable workplace and operations to prevent potential risks for all the employees, in-house vendors, and visitors. We believe in creating a secure work environment not only by adopting these health and safety precautions but also encouraging our supply chain drivers to do so. Achievement of this milestone is an important step forward in our implementation of vigilant sustainable policy.” And these words are very handily backed by the awards Telenor Pakistan has accumulated over the years, like the Best Place to Work award in the telecom industry that it won recently.

Telenor Pakistan is also no stranger to ISO certifications either and this is the latest in a long list of certifications it has received over the years. These include the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification it won in 2010 for its Information Security Management System for mobile banking services and the ISO 9001:2015 for Customer Satisfaction in 2016 to name a few. With this latest certification, Telenor continues its story of excellence, making it one of the leading brands in Pakistan.
