The capital of Pakistan Islamabad has seen an outburst of conferences in past few years. Lately, the National Digital Design Conference (ND2C) has just been announced.
ND2C is the brainchild of two enterprising women including Sana Khalid, CEO of Minerva, a social enterprise that works on employability and Nida Salman, CEO of Create Original, a branding and design consultancy in Islamabad. The duo is working for the past 9 months to curate a digital design conference.
The conference will host over 1,000 graphic designers, illustrators and animators, educators, marketers and branding experts, digital product designers, freelancers, design thinkers and other creatives. The speaker line-up is another feature of the conference that comprises of some of the most inspiring and influential international designers like Stefan Sagmeister and Debbie Millman.
The conference will also see representation from organizations like IBM design and MOO, an online company that prints customized business cards and other materials on demand.
The conference is for anyone who wishes to refuel their creativity, find inspiration, showcase their work or build meaningful relationships with potential clients, partners, and teams, and learn from experts around the world. The main aim of the conference is to explore topics covering design technologies and processes, the importance of collaborative teams, the impact of AR / VR on branding and marketing, the agency-client relationship, designing for impact, data and design, and much more.
In addition to a creative fair that will showcase the works of 50 local designers from across Pakistan, a key feature of the conference is the ND2C Live Design Challenge where a group of extremely talented individuals will compete in a two-step live design challenge.
