A company representative confirmed that the Tucson seen on the roads was a “private import” and emphasized that the company had “no immediate plans to launch the new generation of Tucson in Pakistan in 2025.”

But some experts don’t believe in this statement particularly when the model of 4th gen Tucson has caught up with high costs to import it for private use, ranging from 24 million PKR at the most. For this price buyer may switch to more image-boosting models such as Toyota Land Cruiser Prado or high-end European SUVs which has relatively better residual values.

It also raises doubts that Hyundai has been importing the 4th gen Tucson into Pakistan just for testing them on the roads here, an indication that the company might be planning to launch the model locally in future.
