iPhone SE 2, the Apple’s only mid-range smartphone that has been appearing in rumors for quite a while now, looks more close to being unveiled, as a new hands-on video of the smartphone has surfaced. The upcoming iPhone SE 2 will look more like an iPhone X except that it will be adopting the bulky and squarish body of 2016’s iPhone SE and will be smaller in size as well, all thanks to a new hands-on video which has been recently posted by Macotakara a popular Chinese leaks site.
At first glance of the device that is presented in the video, you will see an SE-style boxy design with minimal bezels on the sides and bottom, an iPhone X-style notch at the top, and a dual-camera setup on the back vertically aligned, similar to what we have seen in the iPhone X. Moreover, the device seems to be running the gesture-based version of iOS that was also firstly introduced on the iPhone X last year.
There have been rumors suggesting Apple is working on a second-generation iPhone SE, but none of those rumors have indicated the device will take on iPhone X design elements and even some are predicting the device to ‘iPhone X SE’. It is still not clear that the device in the video is a valid Apple product, and in fact, it conflicts with rumors we’ve heard about a potential future iPhone SE 2.
Furthermore, the video has revealed that the device lacks the headphone jack of its predecessor while there is also no place for Touch ID. Hence, we can say that Apple is expected to move all its new 2018 iPhones exclusively to Face ID.
Putting aside the debate that whether this leak is legit or not, it does hints that Apple might be gearing up to launch its next mid-range segment product even before June, that too was according to a rumor.
