A new feature in iOS 18 is here to make life easier for anyone who’s struggled to find a recent or important call on their iPhone. With this update, accessing your call history is faster and more straightforward than ever before!
The September release of iOS 18 brought several improvements, such as a more customizable home screen, RCS messaging, and an extremely useful search bar within the Phone app. Instead of wasting time scrolling through the Recents tab, users can swiftly filter through their call history and voicemails using this search box.
The Recent Calls tab is used to show an ongoing list of both incoming and outgoing calls. The Phone app now has built-in search functionality, due to iOS 18. Launch the Phone app, go to the bottom of the page and touch on the Recents tab. Then, utilise the search bar on top of the screen to access this feature.
You may access your voicemails and calls separately in the search bar, and there’s a “See All” button for both. Sort the results by date, contact number, or name. For instance:
- Simply entering the names of two people—”mom” or “dad”—will bring up all of their related calls and voicemails.
- Results for the months “July” and “August” will show all activities that occurred during those months.
- Selecting a date, such as “July 5,” will display all incoming calls and voicemails related to that particular day.
You can easily manage your call history with this user-friendly function.
