With the release of iOS 18.1, Apple has introduced fresh Apple Intelligence features, and the upcoming iOS 18.2 update is expected to arrive on December 2, as reported by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. This new update is likely to bring an array of innovative AI features currently available in beta, such as Genmoji, Image Playground, enhanced visual intelligence, and the integration of ChatGPT within Siri.
When it comes to artificial intelligence, Apple has made great strides with the iOS 18.2 release. If everything goes according to plan, this would be one of the first December releases, according to Gurman. That would put it ahead of last year’s iOS 17.2, which came out on December 11. This method is similar to Apple’s, which involves releasing new features gradually so that people stay captivated by what’s new.
One of the most anticipated improvements of iOS 18.2 is an enhanced Siri, which will integrate ChatGPT technology to improve its response to customer questions. The goal of this integration is to enhance Siri’s overall experience by making it more intuitive and context-aware by utilizing the information shown on users’ devices.
In addition, Apple Intelligence features will be available in more languages than only U.S. English with iOS 18.2. In order to use these features, users in countries like India had to change their language settings. However, in the next update, localized English options will be available for several locations, including the UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa. By making their products more accessible to people all over the world, Apple is demonstrating its dedication to satisfying customer needs.
The next major update to iOS, 18.4, will be out in April and will bring even more improvements, including a significant one to Siri. With this upgrade, Siri can now respond to questions by analyzing the content on users’ screens, which is a huge step towards making Siri a more intelligent and responsive assistant.
Apple keeps improving its software, and these frequent changes show how much the company wants to use AI to make the user experience better. As we head into 2024, people may anticipate a closer relationship with their gadgets, enhanced by personalized experiences and sophisticated AI capabilities.
