iOS 12 beta users are stuck with a weird pop up bug prompting them to install the latest version of iOS 12. But the problem is if you navigate to the update section, there is actually no update awaiting you.
The bug started appearing on 27th of August but in the last 24 hours, the prompt has become rather more frequent and annoying. Every time iPad or iPhone users unlock their devices, the unpleasant pop up is awaiting them. There is no way this pop-up can be disabled, the users have to manually disable the popup every time it appears.
The popup says,
“A new iOS update is now available. Please update from the iOS 12 beta.”
Apparently, some miscalculations in the time and date of iOS expiry are prompting these pop-ups. Apple will have to act swiftly and release an update so that users can get rid of this issue.
This is the reason why the beta testing programs are not for everyone. Although the beta builds are tested before being released yet there is a high chance of lack of stability and issues might arise in the software.
