According to a report published by ZenithOptimedia, there is evidence that the Internet is becoming the fastest growing advertising medium by 2017 all over the world. The report further suggested that Pakistan, among other countries, will see a significant growth of 9.1% every year between 2015 – 2017.
The report catalogued the progress of various countries globally along with their speculated growth, putting Pakistan in the category of ‘Fast-Track Asia’ which shares ranks with other Pan-Asian countries, such as; China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The study found that all of the listed countries in the region are indeed employing the best business practices combined with technology to help in market growth and encourage potential investors. This means that Pakistan is hitting all the right notes when it comes to starting businesses and attracting foreign investments, which is evident through the rampant rise of the startup and entrepreneurial culture in the last few years.
Internet advertising is the cheapest avenue for reaching an audience nowadays. It costs around a third of an ad published in a Newspaper or on a billboard. The rise of Internet marketing can be accredited to e-commerce businesses offering home delivery from the comfort of your PC. Many companies are jumping on the bandwagon and taking their businesses online utilizing social media as an advertising tool which has proven to be a cheaper alternative.
Pakistan has seen an enormous Internet growth in the past years especially after the introduction of 3G/4G spectrums in Pakistan paired with the cost effective packages offered by ISPs. As a result, fast internet connections have become more affordable to the masses in Pakistan. It is safe to say that the projected forecast for Pakistan is definitely on track with the study.
