Instagram is apparently testing a new feature called story highlights, which allows users to see previous Instagram stories from accounts they follow.
New features have been consistently added to the Meta-owned platform in an effort to improve user experience. As of late, Instagram has also included “trial reels,” which enable content creators to interact with people who aren’t followers while testing out new ideas.
Instagram Updates Story Highlights
Recent news reports say that Instagram’s new feature will let users see story highlights from followers they both have for up to a week after they were shared.
Unseen story highlights will show at the bottom of the story tray at the top of the feed, and viewers will be able to view them with this feature.
Please be aware that this change will solely affect the original poster’s saved story highlights and will not affect the usual older stories that are deleted after 24 hours.
Users can browse the highlights of previous articles, but only after they’ve seen all the stories from the accounts they follow. This new function is designed to assist users in keeping up with the stuff shared by their social circles, especially with the increasing amount of sponsored posts and online content. Instagram users throughout the world should anticipate the new story highlights feature’s rollout soon.
