Instagram has just announced a new feature to let anyone quickly switch between multiple accounts from within the app itself.
The pic-sharing social network with more than 400 million users is showing no signs of stopping and it’s showing its maturity of adding a much-awaited feature that lets users easily switch between multiple accounts. The feature has been in testing for quite a while and only now have they gone ahead and announced it in a blog post. Starting this week, the feature will be enabled for all of its userbase and we are happy to report that the process is dead-simple and super-quick.
Note: If you have multiple accounts enabled, your profile photo will accompany you across the app as a reminder of which account you are currently logged in.
You can add up to 5 accounts. The new feature is available in version 7.15 for iOS and Android, available in the App Store and the Google Play Store. If you aren’t seeing it yet on your app, go to the respective app store and update Instagram.
Uptill now, if an Instagram user wanted to switch between an account, the process required an irritatingly long process of manually logging out and then logging back again, and vice versa if you wanted to go back to the original account. This was a big headache for people with multiple accounts like people who had to manage their brands pages, photography accounts, etc. along with their personal accounts. Listening to their concerns, Instagram has finally answered with a super-easy solution.
