According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is cooling down after the launch of the iPhone 16, and their next goal could be the iPhone SE 4. Due to the unpredictable nature of SE launches in the past, it has been extremely difficult to predict when exactly SE 4 will be released.
Mark Gurman might be the best Apple Insider to find a suitable launch date for the SE 4. In his most recent report, it was said that the iPhone SE 4 would be released early next year, in 2025. His predictions for SE 4 could be correct if we take into consideration the other random SE launches in 2016, 2020, and 2022.
According to his report, SE 4’s model code was “V59,” which means it’s probably in R&D. Additionally, you can be confident that it will be inexpensive, and will serve as Apple’s response to entry-level Android solutions in China.
For the past two generations, the newest iPhone SE models have had the same design. This isn’t because the iPhone 8 design was great, but because it was cheap. However, we’re now far enough away from it that the SE 4 will have a more modern look. Mark Gurman claims it will look more like an iPhone 14.
Although it will not have better Dynamic keys or Dynamic Island, it will go borderless and may be able to access up to 8GB RAM on an Apple A18 chip, so it is still not as contemporary as it could be. We may even have Apple intelligence on the way to the iPhone SE 4 in the first half of 2025.
