Imran Khan has emerged as the 9th most followed world leader on Twitter, as reported by the Spectator Index. Imran Khan who took an oath as a Prime minister of Pakistan on 18th August 2018, is now among the top 10 most followed world leaders on Twitter.
The Spectator Index is famous for displaying statistics regarding the trends in politics, economics, history, military affairs, sports, science, and technology.
The Spectator Index posted a list on their Twitter account which shows that the cricketer-turned-politician, ranks 9th among the top 10 followed world leaders, including Donald Trump who with 59.5 million takes the lead and ranks first in the index list.

The index also includes leaders from India, Saudi Arabia, US, Turkey among other countries. Donald Trump is at the top of the index with 59.5 million followers, Narendra Modi takes the second position with 46.7 million followers, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and King Salman from Saudi Arabia are at the fourth and 10th position in the index list.
Imran Khan the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), rose to power after winning the general elections in 2018. He is also known for his charitable work, as he is the founder of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in Pakistan. Last year, Imran Khan was at the 7th position on the spectator index with 7.3 million Twitter followers.
