Ibex Employees Collected $50,000 For Flood Relief Fund

Ibex announced that its employees around the world have come together to raise more than $50,000 to help aid victims affected by the devastating floods triggered by heavy monsoon rains in Pakistan.

These funds were donated to Al-Khidmat Foundation and Akhunwat Foundation, two top NGOs in Pakistan, to provide relief packages for people in the hardest-hit areas. In addition, dozens of local ibex employees volunteered to assist in the relief efforts and gather food, medicine, and supplies. ibex is also committed to supporting Indus Hospital and Baitussalam Welfare Trust to provide medical assistance and help in rehabilitating families in the affected Areas.

Bob Dechant, Chief Executive Officer of ibex said;

Our collective heart goes out to the people of Pakistan who have had their lives shattered by this unprecedented flooding. I am proud of our employees worldwide for coming together to raise more than $50,000 to help support the people of Pakistan. The donations have come from all roles and geographies across ibex. Our local team is also joining the volunteer efforts and collecting food, medicine, and supplies to donate. It is overwhelming to see their compassion and commitment to helping those in need.”

The country has had nearly 190% more rain than the previous 30-year average in the quarter through August this year, and a giant total of 390.7 millimeters (15.38 inches). Sindh province, with a population of 50 million, was hardest hit, getting 466% more rain than the 30-year average.

Till now, over 30 million people are left homeless, around 1500 people have died, around 1 Million livestock have died and countless houses have been destroyed as a result of the flood according to National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) reports. Numerous organizations on the government and private levels are working hard and people from all over the world especially Pakistanis are donating crazy figures in order to save the affected people from any other damages.
