Hyundai Nishat has officially introduced the 7th generation Elantra Hybrid, one of the highly anticipated hybrid models showcased at PAPS 2024. Since last months, expecting its launch and test units appearing in Baluchistan, the company has recently dropped a teaser image showing off the new car’s sleek interior.
Elantra Hybrid comes with Smartstream 1.6 litres GDI Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine combined with permanent magnet synchronous motor. This combination provides a maximum output of 33 kW (43 hp) and torque of 170 Nm; total system output of 139 hp and 264 Nm of torque. Also, the vehicle uses lithium-ion polymer battery with energy storage of 1.32 kWh and a power of 42 kW.
This new Elantra has a quite edgy exterior that implements Hyundai’s Principal parametric design contour. Front includes the innovative, slim line Pixel LED headlights and the new Parametric Jewel Face grille. At the rear there are full-width, thin and sleek LED rear lights.
As expected from a C-segment car, its dimensions include length of 4710 mm, width of 1825 mm, height of 1430 mm, and wheelbase of 2720 mm. The exterior is marked by new one-piece floating roof designs, strong side character lines, improved v-shaped styling on the rear side of the C-pillar and sharp new 16-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the Elantra Hybrid offers a cockpit-like design that prioritizes the driver’s experience. The dashboard and center console gracefully curve towards the driver, while the passenger side maintains a clean and uncluttered aesthetic. A striking LED strip runs the length of the dashboard, adding a modern touch to the interior ambiance.
Other interior points include a 10.25-inche TFT LCD Info display Rheostat, beefy 8-inche Infotainment with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear camera, auto dual-zone climate control, and four speakers. The seats come in premium leather for durability, and comfort with the door trim having a dual color for the driver’s side being black green. It also has remote entry, start and an engine immobilizer, heated and cooled front seats, as well as an 8-way power control and height adjustable driver’s seat.
The Elantra Hybrid is safe as it comes equipped with a high number of standard features meant to boost the security of the driver and passengers. These features consist of two air bags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Auto Brake hold, Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA). More safety features are Emergency Stop signal, ESC (Electronic Stability Control), Vehicle Stability Management System, Hill-start Assist Control, Traction Control, Parking Brake to assure every passenger safe driving.
The new Hyundai Nishat has priced the Elantra hybrid at Rs 9,699,999 PKR and the booking of the model has begun. A reservation fee of Rs. 2,000,000 PKR allows an interested buyer to book a certain model.
Despite its complexity, classy looks and affordability on many fronts, the Hyundai Elantra Hybrid will likely make waves in the Pakistan automotive industry.
