Huawei, the famous Chinese smartphones manufacturer, has shipped over hundred million phones in just first three quarters of the year 2017.
As we earlier reported, Huawei has surpassed Apple to become the 2nd largest smartphones manufacturer around the world in June and July. Although those months were quite slow for Apple, as the people were waiting for the launch of new devices, yet Huawei might easily catch Apple again as they have expanded their reach in emerging markets.
Huawei has been doing tremendously well in selling its impressive devices all over the world. Huawei has earned 19 percent year-on-year growth in the first three quarters. This mark has been achieved only due to Huawei’s efforts especially in terms of spending on Research and Development (R&D).
In this regard Huawei’s consumer group CEO Richard Yu stated,
“With over 10,000 employees around the world working on research and development, we expect to win more high-end customers, as there is more profit in the high-end sector.”
With the launch of Mate 10 and Mate 10 pro, Huawei has finished the current year’s war of the flagships. Over the recent two months, we have witnessed the launch of iPhone X and Galaxy Note 8 which have maintained their positions as being the most capable smartphones of the year. The competition between these three giants is tough and Huawei is struggling hard to overtake the position of Samsung.
Over the years, Xiaomi has also emerged to be the 4th largest smartphones maker of the world and is expecting to sell 90 million phones by the end of the year 2017.
