Huawei has officially launched the Nova 13 series, renowned for its distinctive features and elegant weaving design. The Huawei Nova 13 pro comes with notable upgrades over its predecessors, including an enhanced camera, faster performance, and several other practical improvements.
Without any more delay, let’s take a look at the Huawei Nova 13 Series’ most important specs and features.
Both models are available in four color options: Loden Green, Feather Sand Purple, Feather Sand White, and Starry Black, and they feature an interwoven pattern on the back.
The Nova 13 series is mostly available in Loden Green. Using micro-crystal feather yarn and micro-nano-level 3D printing technology, Huawei has created a novel spatial grid glass for the rear panel. Additionally, it is resistant to stains and scratches and is gentle on the skin.
It looks like the Nova 12 with a more attractive appearance. Its pill-shaped frame features two holes below the same large star ring lens. There is a macro sensor and a flash on one of them.
From the front, you can see that the standard Nova 12 has the narrowest bezels and a face design with a single punch-hole. The screen is flat and can show images with the same depth.
You can see the fresh look here! Huawei has adopted a new camera sensor that is a little longer than the ones that came before it. The camera bump, which resembles a pill, is now both longer and thinner than it was previously. Also, the design of the lenses has changed a lot, now showing three lenses.
Front: Unlike the regular model, the Nova 13 Pro has a pill-shaped cutout on top with two holes. Impressive pictures may be captured simultaneously using the phone’s two front-facing cameras.
Let’s understand with the help of the table below:

The basic Nova 13 has two cameras on the back: a 50MP main lens with an aperture of f/1.9 and an 8MP ultrawide lens with an aperture of f/2.2. The front-facing 60MP camera with an f/2.4 lens is great for selfie fans.
With a variable aperture, the 50MP primary camera, 12MP 3x telephoto, and 8MP ultrawide cameras make up the Pro model. The two phones can both take 4K video.
But the front camera is what really makes it stand out. The main 60MP selfie camera is the same as on the Nova 13, but there is also an 8MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom that almost no other current smartphone has.
Just like usual, Huawei hasn’t said what chipsets these devices use, but there are a lot of storage choices, such as 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB models. The storage options on both phones are the same, but the RAM size wasn’t revealed.
The phones start up with HarmonyOS 4.2.
The Nova 13 Standard has a 5000mAh cell, while the Nova 13 Pro has a 4900mAh (rated) battery. Both types can be charged quickly with 100W and have 50% of their power restored in 9 minutes.
Huawei Nova 13 series can use the Beidou satellite SMS “image-sending” feature. People can send and receive picture texts even if there isn’t a cell signal or the network is weak.
Another interesting part of this series of smartphones is AI. Some new AI picture editing features can be used on the device. These are:
In addition to these, AI can write copy, help with documents, give advice on skincare, and plan trips. The Nova 13 series also makes sure that security is at its peak. People can always feel safe using their phones with HarmonyOS 4.2 and features like Pure Mode and harassment blocking.
In China, the Huawei Nova 13 starts at $378 and the Huawei Nova 13 Pro at $519. The exact date of these phones’ release to foreign markets is yet unknown.
