Huawei Mate series smartphones are known for having the best camera lenses in them, and the upcoming Mate 30 is sure to feature the best lenses as well. Given that the Huawei P30 Pro has four camera lenses on the back, the mate range is also rumored to feature four, but it seems like the tech giant is going to change the layout of camera lenses in Mate 30 as compared to past handsets.
According to a leaked image, shared by “@ichangezone” on a Chinese social network Weibo, which is displaying the rear side of the smartphone which seems to be either Huawei mate 30 or Mate 30 Pro, the four cameras and an LED flash are placed in a circular camera block.
The image shared also includes a text on the camera block, which reads, 5x optical zoom. It means that one of the lenses sports 5x optical zoom and is a telephoto lens. The picture, however, does not reveal any clues about the other three lenses. But as the P30 Pro has an 8 MP telephoto lens, paired with a 40 MP main lens, a 20 MP wide-angle lens and a Time of Flight (ToF) lens for depth-sensing, it seems that the Mate 30 will also feature the same lenses in it, or we may see some improvements as well.
It is worth mentioning here that the ‘Periscope’ zoom lens on the P30 Pro is square, unlike the one displayed in the leaked render image of Mate 30, which suggest that the upcoming mobile phone may feature a different kind of telephoto lens in it.
Other than the camera set up there is not much to see in the leaked image as the back side is plain and features a greenish color, and the side buttons appear in a similar position to the Mate 20 series smartphones.
