Huawei Mate 30 Pro to match the Nokia 9 Pureview with penta camera setup

Huawei Mate 30 pro case patent shows a rectangular cutout on the rear for the camera setup, with enough space to house five cameras and a led flashlight.

The Huawei Mate 30 Pro could be the first ever smartphone from the brand with five cameras. The patent is filed by Huawei and submitted to the CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Administration) and the published patent are available.

Huawei has not yet announced that the case belonged to Mate 30 Pro, but based on the look of this case, and the huge camera cutout on the back, it is safe to predict that they are reserved for the Huawei Mate 30 Pro, as it resembles the cutout on the Mate 20 Pro case, but it’s taller so that it can accommodate more cameras.

The cutout at the top of the phone suggests that this round opening is for a headphone jack, we know that Huawei doesn’t equip its Mate series flagships with the slowly decaying port.

Also noticeable is the subtle cutout at the forehead of the case. This tiny clip-out is for a slotted in-call speaker, which leads us to believe that the Mate 30 Pro is certain to have a camera hole in the display, as shown above.

This is just a patent, however, there’s no assurance that this will be the real setup on the Mate 30 Pro when it comes out, later this year. But this look of the phone would only make sense if the company wanted to include additional lenses.

No information on the selfie camera yet, but we expect that to have at least one camera like on the Mate 20 Pro, which was announced just this past October, so we expect Mate 30 pro to be not released at least until next fall.
