Huawei Mate 20 Pro wins the “GSMA Best Smartphone Award” at MWC 2019

The newest flagship device from Huawei, Mate 20 Pro, has been awarded the best smartphone award from the GSMA officials at the Mobile World Congress 2019.

At the Mobile World Congress 2019, Huawei received an award from the event organizer GSMA for its smartphone Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Compared against its competitors from the event, the smartphone was termed as the “Best Smartphone” by third-party judges. The decision for the award took into regards the performance of smartphones in departments like the camera system, battery life, charging solutions, design, and hardware.

First nominated and then named the “Best Smartphone” by GSMA, Huawei Mate 20 Pro is Huawei’s latest flagship smartphone released back in October last year. Powered by the world’s first 7nm mobile AI chipset Kirin 980, the smartphone comes with a Matrix Camera System at the back. The Matrix Camera System incorporates three lenses with different focal lengths, including one Leica Ultra Wide Angle Lens to enable wide-angle photography. The 4,200 mAh battery can be charged using 40W Huawei SuperCharge, 15W HUAWEI Wireless Quick Charge. The Reverse Wireless Charging lets the users charge other devices and electronic gadgets wirelessly using the power of the smartphone.

GSMA is the global trade association of mobile networks worldwide. The association represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, in a network of more than 750 operators and 350 companies. GSMA is famous for producing the industry-leading MWC events held annually in Barcelona, Los Angeles and Shanghai, as well as the Mobile 360 Series of regional conferences. Huawei, on the other hand, is one of the world’s largest smartphone manufacturers in the World. The company recently introduced Huawei Mate X, it’s first 5G foldable phone.
