Over the last few years, HP has emulated the design on the Apple’s MacBook series. The Apple MacBook brought innovation to the laptop arena in the form of the ultra-thin Apple MacBook Air. However, now HP has decided to finally take the initiative in bringing a change. According to Ron Coughlin, the PC chief of HP, “for years, Apple has been seen as the innovator and the driver of innovation, but now HP is really taking over that mantle.”

HP is set to unveil its latest premium laptop on Tuesday, 5th April during the International Luxury Conference in Versailles. The technology giant believes that its latest lines of laptops will lift HP to become the new trend-setters in laptop design. This is expected since HP’s recent Elitebook Folio (announced in January) already topped the Apple MacBook in terms of thickness. The Elitebook measures only a mere 12.7 mm in thickness and HP is expected to trim down its premium laptop even further with the its latest launch.

This announcement by HP leaves us all with high expectations. We’ll see tomorrow how the latest premium laptop by HP changes the classical laptop design. Stay tuned for news on tomorrow’s announcement by the American multinational.
