Android lets its users tune their mobile operating to a very great extent. Manufacturers that range from the Korean giant Samsung to Huawei from China, HTC and Sony, all have been tuning this operating system for their respective usages. Huawei’s EMUI, Samsung’s TouchWiz, and HTC Sense all bear great differences from the stock Android. That’s not an end to it as Android also has also given freedom to its users and they can customize their android experience to a great ratio. Some users do so by installing custom launchers, while some users go on and root their smartphones.
We already know what Android rooting really is. After introducing it in general, we moved on and told you how to root your Samsung Galaxy J5, J7, J1, and Grand Prime. Yesterday, we told you about rooting your Samsung Galaxy S4. Today, we will mainly be talking about how can you root your Samsung Galaxy S5.
You can root your smartphones through plentiful of ways. In some cases you would require a PC and in some cases you won’t. One-click rooting is the rooting that doesn’t need a PC, it is temporary and a relatively new phenomenon. We will, however, be using PC. We will be rooting Android 4.4.2 on Samsung Galaxy S5 G900F (LTE) using ODIN and widely trusted CF Auto-Root tool.

In order to successfully connect your smartphone with your PC for flashing you would need to download the drivers. You can do so from the links given below and install them on your computer.

In order to enable the USB debugging mode follow these steps.
By default the Developer Options isn’t visible in Settings menu. You can make it visible by following these steps.
You will be required to download the root package for your S5. The root packages are different for every variant of the Samsung Galaxy S5. So, do follow the quick easy steps given below to make sure you really are on Galaxy S5 SM-G900F.
After downloading the firmware, you would need to download Odin
Before you finally go on to the next step, make sure that your device has sufficient battery backup in it. Also, deactivate any anti-virus program in your computer so that it does not disturb the process.
Open your smartphone in Fastboot mode by following these steps.
Once your device boots into the download mode, connect it to your computer using the original USB data cable.
Now, after connecting your device open the folder where you have extracted the Odin.
After sometime your phone will reboot automatically into the recovery mode, installing your custom recovery. If, however, the device does not root and boot into Recovery Mode automatically, do the entire procedure again.
After the boot finishes, you can disconnect your smartphone. In order to confirm, if your device has correctly been rooted or not, check if SuperSU application is present in your application drawer.
