Current Account:
There are 2 types of people who can apply for a current account at NBP:
- Salaried individual (Age limit: 18 to 70 years old)
- Business owner (Age limit: 18 to 70 years old)
Salaried individual:
To apply for a current account at NBP, you need to collect the following documents:
- CNIC
- Proof of employment (through an employment verification letter)
- Copy of your utility bills
Business owner:
Collect and submit the following documents to the bank if you want to open a current account at NBP:
- CNIC
- Proof of business
After you’ve submitted these documents, you’d also need to pay a minimum fee of 1000 PKR for account opening while no minimum balance is required for account maintenance (this opening fee is for the NBP choice current account). Savings account:
There are 2 types of people who can apply for a savings account at NBP:
- Salaried individual (Age limit: 18 to 70 years old)

To apply for a savings account at NBP, you need to collect the following documents:
- CNIC

- Profit Up to 1% in excess of the normal PLS Savings account rate on maintaining a balance of 20,000 PKR to 1 Million PKR.

- Free SMS Alerts.
Asaan account:
Open an Asaan account if you’re not the type of person to indulge in the formalities of applying documents, Asaan account offers the facility of opening an account with minimal documents required.
All you need is your CNIC and 100 PKR for account opening.
Features of Asaan account:
- Account can be opened as either current or savings account.
- No requirements on maintaining minimum balance.
- No charges on account opening or closing.
- Issuance of NBP ATM Card.
- Free Cheque Book.
