Download the Move to iOS App: Start by downloading the Move to iOS app from the Google Play Store on your Android device. This app is the key to transferring your data from Android to iPhone.

Prepare Your New iPhone: When setting up your new iPhone, go to the Apps & Data section and select Move Data from Android. This option will guide you through the transfer process.

Set Up the Move to iOS App: Open the Move to iOS app on your Android phone. After accepting the privacy terms and granting the app access to your files and location, tap Continue.

Pair the Devices: A one-time code will appear on your iPhone’s screen. Enter this code on your Android device to start the pairing process.

Select What to Transfer: Choose the files you want to move to your new iPhone, such as apps, media, and more. You can select exactly what you want to transfer.

Wait for the Transfer to Complete: Leave both devices untouched until the loading bar on your iPhone disappears. Once it’s done, tap Done on your Android device and Continue on your iPhone.

Finish the Setup: After the transfer is complete, follow the on-screen instructions to finish setting up your new iPhone.

Important Considerations for a Smooth Transfer

  • Charge Your Devices: Ensure that both your Android phone and new iPhone are at least 75% charged to prevent interruptions during the transfer process.
  • Stable Wi-Fi Connection: Since the transfer happens wirelessly, make sure you’re connected to a stable Wi-Fi network to avoid any issues.
  • Storage Space: Check that your new iPhone has enough storage for the data you want to transfer. You may need to organize and prioritize the files you want to move to your iPhone.
  • App Availability: Keep in mind that apps must be available in both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store to be transferred. Additionally, the Move to iOS app does not support the transfer of audiobooks, PDFs, or music.
