Honor has introduced the Watch 6 Pro, a new smartwatch focused on health tracking and outdoor features. The new model adds several upgrades over the company’s existing Watch 6 Pro lineup. It also trades some battery life for a wider set of health and fitness tools.
The Honor Watch 6 Pro features a 1.5-inch dual-layer OLED display with a 466 x 466px resolution. Its peak global brightness reaches 4,500 nits. When only a smaller part of the screen is active, brightness can reach 5,500 nits.
The watch measures 46.3mm x 46.3mm x 11.6mm. It also comes with a stainless steel body, while select versions use a two-tone ceramic design. The ceramic material is sintered onto the metal at 1,400°C for improved durability.
Health tracking is a major focus of the Watch 6 Pro. The smartwatch supports 24/7 heart rate variability (HRV) tracking. It also includes a second-generation blood pressure monitoring system and Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM).
The watch can also detect crashes and monitor for signs of cardiac arrest. If it stops detecting a pulse, it can trigger an alarm. These features add another layer of safety for users during daily activities and workouts.
For location tracking, Honor has added its high-precision Polaris positioning system. It uses a dual-frequency setup with three antennas for more stable reception. Honor says the system can maintain a signal even in dense urban areas.
The Watch 6 Pro can provide up to 21 hours of continuous positioning. However, battery life varies depending on the features enabled. Its 500mAh battery lasts up to 7 days with the Always On Display enabled.
Battery life drops to 4 days when all health tracking features are active. Users can switch to the maximum battery mode for up to 18 days of use. This makes the watch more flexible for different usage patterns.
Honor has also added several dedicated sports modes. These include Trail Running Mode, Professional Badminton Mode, and Professional Football Mode. The watch can also be used while swimming and responds to wet fingers.
Compared with the Honor Watch 5 Pro, the new model adds several major upgrades. These include all-day HRV tracking, blood sugar monitoring, and cardiac arrest detection. The dual-layer OLED display is another key addition.
In China, the stainless steel version of the Honor Watch 6 Pro is now available for pre-order. It costs CNY 1,600, which converts to around $240, £180, €210 or ₹23,000. The sintered ceramic version costs CNY 1,800. That works out to around $270, £200, €235 or ₹25,750. Honor is offering the Watch 6 Pro in five color and strap combinations.
