HeroX is calling all brilliant minds for their recently launched Cognitive Computing Challenge in the hopes to find invaluable solutions.
HeroX was founded in 2013 by a visionary entrepreneur Peter Diamandis, the same person who founded the non-profit organization XPRIZE. The main reason behind this formation was to democratize the innovation model of XPRIZE. HeroX’s main goal is to enable anyone, anywhere in the world, to create a challenge that addresses any problem or opportunity, build a community around that challenge and activate the circumstances that can lead to a breakthrough innovation.
They have most recently launched the Cognitive Computing Challenge – a $200,000 USD prize to build a cognitive system that can read a document, then accurately load a database with what it finds. Essentially, to teach a computer to mimic the human brain. We as humans spend most of our time reading and analyzing written documents. The solution to this challenge will eliminate repetitive tasks, reduce time and minimize errors.
Don’t take this lightly, if you are interested in applying (you can apply as an individual, a team or as an organization). Needless to say that your submissions will be judged by highly qualified professionals. They will test the accuracy of your build, usability and the way in which you approached the problem. To apply, to find out more about the challenge or any other details head over here. This challenge registrations have started since June 8th with a submission deadline falling on January 11, 2016.
If you’re interested in creating your own challenge, HeroX will also assist you in that. They will help you create a challenge, get it funded for a prize and will also make sure your challenge reaches the right audience for a solution.
