HEC is offering fully-funded scholarships for engineers in a leading Chinese university

Higher Education Commission (HEC) Pakistan is providing fully-funded scholarships to outstanding engineers aspiring to pursue Master’s and Ph.D. at the Xian Jiaotong University (XJTU), China. XJTU is a leading research university, directly administered by the Chinese Ministry of Education.

The scholarships are available for the 2018-19 academic year. The program will kick off in September of this year, where successful candidates will be awarded fee exemption and will also avail a stipend to cover living expenses during the course of the program. Currently, HEC is offering six scholarship for Master’s program and four seats are being offered for the Ph.D. program.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be a national of Pakistan or Azad Jammu & Kashmir. For the Master’s program, 16 years of education with a first division is mandatory and for the doctoral degree, the applicant must have completed 18 years of education and demonstrated research achievements.

The Master’s program is being offered in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Nuclear Science and Technology, Power Engineering & Engineering Thermophysics, Aeronautical and Astronautic Science and Technology, Materials Science and Engineering and Mechanics.

Majors for the Ph.D. program include Mechanical Engineering, Material Science and Technology, Power Engineering & Engineering Thermophysics, Electrical Engineering, Information and Communication Engineering, Mechanics, Management Science and Engineering and Business Administration.
