Hassan Raza Appointed as New CEO of Bank of Khyber

The Bank of Khyber (BOK) has appointed Hassan Raza as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective November 11th, 2024. This announcement comes after receiving the necessary clearance from the State Bank of Pakistan.

The bank shared the news with the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) in a notice, stating, “We are pleased to inform that subsequent to the clearance received from the State Bank of Pakistan, Mr. Hassan Raza has joined the Bank of Khyber as Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer w.e.f. today i.e. November 11, 2024.”

Raza, a senior corporate banker with an abundance of experience in both domestic and international markets, offers a multitude of expertise to the position. He has held positions at numerous prominent financial institutions, including Silk Bank, Standard Chartered, Bank of America, HBL, and UBL, over the course of his career.

He steps into the role previously held by Irfan Saleem Awan, who had been serving as Acting Managing Director. Raza’s appointment was initially announced on October 7th, 2024. The Bank of Khyber is prepared to continue advancing its strategic objectives under his leadership, following his official assignment of duties.
