The government of Punjab just recently announced the launch of ‘Insaf Academy’, an online academy that will help students of matric and intermediate get access to high-quality professional lectures and other study resources making it easier for them to study.
Announcing the launch on Twitter, Punjab’s Education Minister, Dr. Murad Raas wrote that the Online academy contains over 7000 lectures, different MCQs and even practice quizzes. The academy is “free education for every child at their doorstep”.
Containing premium resources and a well-designed web application, the Insaf academy is built to counter the rising tuition culture that has existed in the country for the longest time now. With Insaf academy, students will be able to access all that tuition can provide them with thus allowing them quality studies without having to spend a single penny.
Content uploaded on the Insaf Academy is published in both English and Urdu thus making it easier for children to get classes in the language they feel comfortable with. Insaf Academy is also not limited to just a web application, the government of Punjab has made it available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Over the years student influx towards coaching centers and academies have largely increased, it has risen to the point that students take their academies more seriously than their colleges resulting in hefty amounts going in towards multiple academies. This system increases studying costs and degrades education.
In situations like these, a government-launched application like Insaf Academy surely is a great initiative that should be applauded and promoted by students all around Pakistan.
In his speech at the Insaf Academy launch event, Dr. Murad said that “INSAF Academy will level the playing field for students with different economic and social backgrounds”. Students can get access to high-quality education and all they need is a laptop or cell phone.
