Government Announces To Teach Advanced Web3.0 Skills to One Million Pakistani Students

Fasset (Sector Education and Training Authority (Seta) for the Finance, Accounting, Management Consulting), JazzCash, and Prime Minister join forces in hopes of teaching the youth of Pakistan, the latest and advanced Web3.0 technologies including blockchain, crypto, and other digital assets. This initiative is part of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP), a renowned program often held by the current Prime Minister Shahbaz Shareef whenever he comes into power.

A Meeting in Islamabad was held yesterday in which the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, Shaza Khwaja, the CEO of FASSET Muhammad Rafi Hossain, and the acting CEO of JazzCash Murtaza Ali, participated, and the details of the project were finalized. Fasset shared their belief that equipping Pakistan’s youth with some of the most in-demand skills will boost the freelancing economy with the vision of PMYP leadership. Both organizations will make an exclusive curriculum for this program that will include the in-depth and latest knowledge of Web3.0 and this partnership hopes to approximately 1 million youth over the period of a year.

Ms. Kahwaja shared the Prime Minister’s vision in the meeting and told that Pakistan’s youth has the potential to achieve great success in the fields of technology and if the government is able to provide them with basic training and facilities, they can do wonders. Ms. Shaza Khwaja said;

“For years, the Government of Pakistan has been working tirelessly on skill development for youth across the country, but I believe the private sector holds great opportunities for young people when it comes to preparing for the future. The Prime Minister’s vision is to work on areas with great economic impact – like digital skills for the future. This forms the basis of PMYP’s partnership with Fasset. I hope our youth utilize this opportunity to learn from qualified industry practitioners & the world of opportunities that unfold.”

Mohammad Raafi Hossain, CEO of Fasset explained the economic importance and the potential of the Pakistani IT industry and the need for up-to-date technological experts in the progression of the country. He also shared the expected revenue that the youth of Pakistan can generate from the IT sector. He said;
