Buying legitimate games in Pakistan is a big issue for console gamers since many are not able to pay ~Rs. 6000 for a single game, especially on a PS4 or Xbox One. In turn, gamers have to buy either used games or after an extended period at a slightly lesser price. GotGame is looking to change that by offering a unique service to its customers whereby they will have access to the latest titles without burdening their pocket.
GotGame.pk is a library for video games where, at the moment, you can rent one game at a time with the following costs to get you started. To activate your account, you must pay the following fees:
You can rent out as many games as you want. You can rent one game at a time, play it and then, send it back via mail and GotGame.pk will send out the next game in your queue that is available in stock.
This entitles you to being able to borrow all the games currently available in the library which are being offered for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One. Considering you can play Batman: Arkham Knight, which was released a week ago for only Rs. 1,400 (if you are an existing subscriber), this might be a wise decision. Additionally, you can enjoy countless latest games for just Rs. 1,400 per month and the only limitation will be how fast you finish up your game to move to another one.
We reached out to the co-founder of this project, Zamin Abbas Zaidi and inquired if he would continue to update the library with old and upcoming games for each console considering the current library is sparse? He told us that the products are added based on the demand, but he does intend on adding all the latest games that are sure to catch his customers eye and give them more variety in their choice. Zamin further added that he will expand his operations to include the selling of video game peripherals, prepaid cards, shirts, action figures and more.
This can be a great alternative for people who don’t want to spend thousands on a single game and later on sell it for a loss, wait for a good trade offer or simply leave them in a cupboard as a sacred treasure. The site helps solve the problem of gamers being unable to afford newer games and building up a backlog of unfinished games.
