Google is calling all students for their 2016 AdMob Student App Challenge. If you have a great idea that you’d like to pursue, this Challenge is your chance to build an app , learn how to make money from it and win lucrative prizes.
Google has a long history of promoting positive competition among students by introducing various challenges throughout the year for different age groups. The AdMob Student App Challenge is, as the name suggests, for students only. The registration process is very simple.
This step is pretty simple. All you need to do is form a team of 5 people and pick a team lead.

Once you have an idea, sign up for an AdMob account so that you can install the Google Mobile Ads SDK which will enable your app to show ads from AdMob. This will basically allow you to monetize your app. For any help with building an app using AdMob check out these resources provided by Google.
Google wants the world to know about your app and use it too. Start by submitting your app to Google Play or the App Store.
Once your app is built, its time to submit it. Use this form to submit the app and this form to submit the business report.

Google’s worthy judging panel will decide the winners which will be a three-fold process. Round 1 will include points based on the number of downloads, user ratings etc. In Round 2 they will judge the overall idea and its execution in the form of your app. One team will be chosen from each region in this round. In Round 3 the jury will go through the business reports of the regional finalists and then annouce the Grand Finalist.
The winner will be announced on August 25th, 2016. The regional finalists will get numerous prizes from Google and publicity for their work. While the Grand Finalist will get to go on a week-long trip to San Francisco and publicity for their app too.
